Bonyár Judit: Énekek Éneke

A közelmúltban jelent meg szerzői kiadásban Bonyár Judit énekes-csellista-zeneszerző-szövegíró Énekek Éneke (Songs of Solomon) című első önálló albuma.
A művésznőt a pécsi közönség a NeoFolk formációból ismerheti, valamint Edith Piaf sanzonok bravúros előadójaként is láthatta már a Piaf két arca című színdarabban.
Judit versbe szedve énekelhetővé tette az Ószövetség legszebb könyvét, ami a legmélyebb szakralitást érintve szól a férfi-nő szerelmi kapcsolatról. A szellemi tartalom orientalista zenei megvalósításra adott lehetőséget, merített az arab, perzsa, zsidó, indiai, kínai zenei hagyományokból is, de igyekezett ezt a sok hatást, formanyelvet magyar identitásán átszűrni. Talán ezért is lett egységes, de Juditra mindig is jellemzően sokszínű ez a finom szövésű világzene és etno-jazz határán táncoló anyag.

Bonyár Judit: Songs of Solomon
Zsolnay Quarter – E78 – Concert Hall
She started to play the chello at the age of eight. Her first band, Calliope was an ethno-jazz formation and played between 1996 and 2002 in Pécs. She is a founder member, singer and composer of NeoFolk band playing pulsing and soulful world music. Her songs and music composed for poems evoke the music traditions of the Carpathian basin, the Balkan, and at instances the Middle East. She bacame known countrywide as the performer of the third series of Megastar, the talents show in 2005. She won special prize with her own song ’Tell me’. She is one of the creators and performers of the show ’Two faces of Piaf’, a theater show about the life of Edit Piaf. Judit often performs her own Piaf sanson show called ’Padam-padam’. Her permanent co-producer is her husband, Péter Hűvösvölgyi, musician (guitar, mandolin, bouzuki, cümbüs). In the previous years she performed show sin Poland and Bosnia-Herczegovina as well.
Songs of Solomon is Judit’s first solo album, a world music material interwoven with ethno-jazz elements written based on texts from the Old Testament. The singing and polyphonic vocality dominated songs the virtuoso handling of the instruments are in strong focus as well. The musicians preforming on the album are experts in several styles (folk music, jazz, classical music), who work in several bands and theatres.
